Baby Visit # 6 was this morning and Owen now has 6 teeth.  Owen brought a tower of blocks and he could crawl to the tower and knock it down.  Owen played with a crab that squeaked and he liked it. He had a train that had blocks that could go up and down.  Owen jumped up and down when he heard us say 5 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed.  At the end of the visit Owen was chewing on his blanket and that told us he was tired.

Wednesday February 22, 2012 - Sleep

Owen came to Room 4 today.  He is growing quickly.  This morning he was almost crawling he rocks back and forth on his knees.  He smiled at us a lot.  He played with the toys that Mrs. Braun brought.  Sarah told us that Owen is now grinding his top and bottom teeth together because they are new.  He also likes to bite on blankets.  We did exercises with Owen today and he rolled over on the carpet.  We also measured and weight Owen.  We are looking forward to the next visit to see if he is ready to crawl.

Wednesday January 18, 2012 - Emotions

When Owen came to Room 4 today he played with the Roots of Empathy toys.  Owen was sitting up by himself playing with the toys.  Owen liked the squeaky toys that Mrs. Braun brought.  He really like the balls with the spinning circles in them.  He could grab them and pick them up.  Owen now has the 2 bottom front teeth.  Sarah told us that Owen can now drink using a straw.  At the end of our visit Owen became a little frustrated we knew this because he was crying and he was squirming around all over the place.  Room 4 has a lto of fun when Owen comes to visit!

Friday December 9, 2011

Baby Owen and Sarah came to Room 4 this morning.  Owen played with some of the toys and brought his favourite toy from home.  Owen is teething and he likes to put everything in his mouth.  Right now Owen drools a lot.  During the visit he got a little cranky and was making some crying noises, he was telling us that he was hungry.  Owen drank a bottle today during his visit.  Sarah brought Owen's diaper bag and showed us everything that she carries with them.  In the diaper bag they had Sarah's wallet, 8 diapers, extra clothes, baby shampoo, lotion (cream), extra formula and a bottle, wipes, baby powder, some medicine and an extra soother.  We sure thought that Owen looked a lot bigger this visit.  We really enjoy when Sara and Owen come.

Thursday November 10, 2011

Sarah brought a special chair called a Bumbo for Baby Owen to sit in at his visit this morning.  Sarah brought a sippy cup for Owen to drink out of this morning also.  He used a straw to drink.  Mrs. Braun brought some toys for Owen to play with this morning but Owen seemed more interested in watching us than playing with the toys.  There was one toy with a mirror and Owen liked looking in the mirror.  Owen was in a good mood this morning, he was happy and smiled often.  Our theme for this month is crying.  Sarah told us that Owen has different kinds of cries that mean different things.  It was a very fun visit because Owen played with some toys and he moved around more.

Thursday October 6, 2011

Baby Owen came to Room 4 for his first visit.  While he was here we measured Owen and he is 28 inches long and 15.7 pounds.  He was 7 pound 4 ounces and 22 inches when he was born on May 28, 2011.  We saw ultra sound pictures of Owen before he was born.  We watched Owen play on his stomach a little.  Owen seemed happy and enjoyed watching all the faces in Room 4.  Room 4 was very happy to have Owen and his mom, Sarah visit this morning!
