Altona to Cairo Blog
Room 4 has started a social studies project where they will be writing and exchanging blog posts with a classroom in Cairo, Egypt. Room 4 students will get a chance to write about their town, school, holidays, traditions and culture and then learn about the same aspects from a classroom in Cairo. The classroom in Cairo is taught by Melissa Martens who was a kindergarten teacher at Elmwood School last year. Star of the Week!
Monday - show poster.
Tuesday - bring your favourite book.
Wednesday - bring your favourite game.
Thursday - special guest / snack etc.
Friday - Show and Tell.
Birthday Celebrations
Birthday celebration are welcome in room 4. If the birthday person wishes to bring a
treat to share with the class they can have it dropped off in the morning by 9:00 am or at
10:15 am and the class will enjoy it and have a small celebration before morning recess at
10:15 am until 10:30. If parents etc. wish to be present for the celebration they can attend
at 10:15 am.
